Goodbye to the 2011 Season!

I know this because I have been there myself many times. The haunt ends and you find yourself at home for the first time in a while, missing your friends and wondering what to do with yourself. To be honest I feel that way right now. Casper and I had a long haul the past few months. Working our real jobs and then coming home working on our website, photos/video, or preparing for our next haunt visit each night. There were many times I said to Casper, “why are we doing this?” Then we would arrive at our next haunt and it all would come back to me. It is the love these people have for what they are doing, the long hours spent working on room designs; costumes, makeup, advertising, marketing, and I guess we (MadeYaScream.com) fit right in there somewhere.
I would like to thank all the haunted attractions that gave us the opportunity to come out to their attraction and do what we love to do best, which is take in all the action, excitement and really have a scary good time. Whether it be catching up with Beaker at “Terror on the Fox”, hanging out by the fire with Dave at “Green Bay Fear”, checking in with our good friends Erick & Dan from “Oblivion”, or our long journey to Seymour, Indiana for our feature at “Fear Fair”, which I may add was well worth the trip.
Casper and I really do have the best jobs in the world. We get to see some of the best attractions out there, make all kinds of new friends, and receive a few scares in the process, and then come away with some of the best photos and videos possible. While it was a great deal of work trying to work each photo to perfection, I am truly proud of our final product.
We learned a lot this season. What works and what does not. While we have come a long way with our photography we realize there are definitely areas for improvements with both our photos and videos. I am happy to say we are already planning on just how we can achieve that and you can expect us to offer an even better product next season.
We also have some ideas on how to improve on our website and will be working these changes soon. We listened to a lot of your ideas on our visits and we look forward to implementing for 2012.
While I am sad to see this season end I am also excited for what’s in store for 2012. In closing, we want to say “thank-you” to those that have stood by us for the past three seasons as we find our bearings in this industry, and we look forward to working with each of you for many years to come.
Happy Haunting,
Doug Rickert, aka (Snoopy)
Todd Rolain, aka (Capser)
P.S. These are some of my favorite photos from the season.
